Learn to Play Guitar, but with a New Twist!
The unique beginner’s guide to playing guitar.
Lexington KY (March 2016) – The #1 Amazon Best-Selling book How to Play Guitar provides an easier and more enjoyable way for a beginning musician to master the basics of playing guitar. What makes this approach different from most methods is that the student (reader) doesn’t have to wait months, playing exercises and scales, to begin playing music on the guitar. Filled with pictures and links to videos, it’s like having an often-humorous private instructor guide the student every step of the way.
According to author Ben Brown, “We all know that some songs are easier to play than others. Why not start playing the easy stuff and progress to more challenging tunes? If a song is good, if it moves you and a lot of other folks, then it undoubtedly contains solid music fundamentals and best practices. Doesn’t it make sense to study these fundamental concepts in their natural habitat?”
Ben gives the reader the opportunity to become a free member of his Membership Site where members will find fun and easy instructional videos, photos, and supplemental information (as new info appears).
After showing the reader how to choose his or her first guitar and pick, he then teaches:
- simple solutions to beginner problems
- strange, but common, guitar terms
- how to hold a guitar and pick; and how to get the pick out of the guitar
- how to tune a guitar and change guitar strings
- the art of mastering chords
- finger exercises
- beginning songs that increase the student’s confidence
- and much more
Having been a guitar instructor for 25 years, Ben says, “Almost all the best moments in my life were making music with other people. I love playing and singing and I love helping others learn to make music. Music can express feelings and thoughts that words alone can’t. Learning to play guitar should be fun and easy, not a task to be dreaded. That’s why I wrote this book – to bring music into the lives of everyone who wants to make music.”
